Travel insurance in Germany (Reiseversicherung) is an additional type of insurance taken out to cover the health needs and expenses of individuals with health insurance living in Germany while they are in a country other than Germany. This insurance is not compulsory, but it is one of the most preferred types of insurance in Germany.

Why is travel insurance in Germany necessary?
